Emily is a first-year graduate student with the Deaf Education and Hearing Science program at UT Health Science Center. She recently graduated with her bachelor's degree in Special Education from Northern Illinois University. Emily was born and raised in San Antonio and attended Sunshine Cottage as a typical hearing student from pre-school to fourth grade. She is very excited to be back!

After graduating from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in May of 2021, I began the Deaf Education and Hearing Science program at UT Health San Antonio. I will complete my master's degree in May of 2023 and I am so excited for the opportunity to work at Sunshine throughout my graduate studies. I look forward to working with the amazing staff and students at Sunshine Cottage!
