Janeth Gaddy was born and raised in Colombia, South America, where she graduated with a BA in Foreign Languages from the Universidad Industrial de Santander and an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education from the Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia. She also worked in Colombia for four years as a certified ESL teacher.

After moving to the USA, Janeth lived in Wisconsin where she got her Preschool Credentials from The Registry, and worked as a Preschool teacher for several years. She later moved to North Carolina where she became ATA certified as a translator, and was able to work as an interpreter for the court system and for the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

Marriage and the birth of a hearing impaired child brought her to Texas where she found Sunshine Cottage and the Parent Infant Program. She was a stay at home mom for several years until Sunshine Cottage had an opening in the Parent Infant Program that she and her family loved so much. She became the Administrative Assistant to PIP where she has been able to help families walk the same path that she and her family have walked. She is also able to help Spanish speaking families navigate Sunshine Cottage and translate documents for them.

In her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking, crafting and teaching her children new skills. She and her husband have two daughters who attend Sunshine Cottage School and who cannot think of a better place to be.
