Amanda Grant studied Communication Disorders at Truman State University in Missouri and then earned her Master’s in Deaf Education/Speech and Hearing Science at Washington University in St. Louis.  She did her graduate practicum at Listen and Talk in Seattle, Washington and also at Central Institute for the Deaf in St. Louis, MO.  Before coming to work at Sunshine, she taught in pre-school classrooms at Omaha Hearing School and also as an itinerant Teacher of the Deaf for several years in North Carolina’s public school system.  After traveling and moving for many years as an Air Force family, she is happy to finally be settled in San Antonio.  Amanda’s personal journey with her own hearing loss brings a unique perspective and experience to the families she serves.
